Who we are...

Honest Llama was started by our managing member, Baileigh McConnell, in the fall of 2019. She had worked in the accounting field since 2007 and after seeing the poor condition of services offered in the Albuquerque area, she was determined to break the classic accounting firm mold with a company guided by strong ethics and a genuine interest in the welfare and future well-being of the clientele.

Motivated by her love for her clients, an OCD driven desire for accurate and ethical reporting, and her passion to provide a better working environment and pay to staff in the industry, Honest Llama was born.

Our first year in business began just before the COVID pandemic struck and our fledgling firm was tossed to and fro between new tax laws and retroactive legislation. Our team trained persistently to stay on top of the COVID assistance issued by the various government entities. Honest Llama was there to assist our clients with preparation and filing of claims and applications for countless programs; a service we later found out most accounting firms refused to provide.

We saw during COVID that our place was right here, on the front lines with our clientele. We might be the background bean counters, but we’re here to help you, your company and your family navigate the complexities of the ever-changing tax landscape. Out of the COVID storm, Honest Llama emerged fortified with an even greater drive to keep their small business clients educated on upcoming and potential tax law changes and to provide the most comprehensive accounting services possible.

Billing hourly to ensure even our smallest clients get excellent support and services without excessive monthly fees. You pay for the work you need done, nothing more, nothing less.
